Stop the thief

I don't know if somebody ever stole your lunch, but I can tell you it really annoys me. If I want to eat, I want to eat. That's pretty much it. From now on I should use these Anti-Theft Lunch Bags designed by the.

Villa Rotterdam

I'm more and more into architecture lately. My brother was considering to study architecture. Too bad he changed his mind. It would have been great if he could design me a beautiful house. One like this for instance. The project is called Villa Rotterdam. And a Villa it is.
The original house has been extended several times. Ooze Architects decided to completely transform the building into something different. Now old spaces are connected with new ones and they add a lot of windows. Result: A beautiful open space in the middle of nowhere.
It looks a little bit like this:

This is Mykea

I love IKEA. Maybe because it's swedish. Maybe because it's cheap. Maybe because it's simple. The bad thing about IKEA is that everybody loves it. Not just me. So more then once you'll walk into a room and recognize at least one piece of furniture.
Mykea both loves and hates IKEA for the same reason. (I knew there would be more people with the same thought as I had!) They came up with the idea to customize your furniture with prints to make your IKEA piece more unique.

This is how your room may look with Mykea:

A Supermarket for Design

Another nice discovery. At www.supermarkethq.com you are able to buy great design straight from designers. Very important: It's affordable!
You can also sell your own designs via this site. Use your creativity to get rich. Sounds good to me. Too bad they're not selling books and stuff like that, so I could sell my writings...

Let's go to Mexico

According to design bible Wallpaper, Hotel Habita in Mexico City is one of the best design hotels in the world. And so it was rewarded with the Design Award 2010. I can see why.

'Every wall is a door' - Ralph Waldo Emerson

If you're fed up with painted walls or flower wallpaper, you should check out this norwegian site where you can buy concrete wallpaper. Your wall will look like a 'real' wall and not like a flowery tablecloth... The only thing I'm thinking of now is why would you put concrete wallpaper on a wall if you can have a real wall?

Marshall headphones, I want them and I want them now!

"The heavy sound of Marshall has been carried over the world for nearly 50 years. Breathless roadies and roaring trucks have worked hard to make Marshall heard all across the globe. Now, time has come for you to carry this magnificent burden of rock'n'roll all by yourself."

I can not say it in a better way.

What a tat(too)

When I was younger I used to watch The Moomins on tv. The Moomins is a cartoon based on a finnish childrens book. While studying in sweden I had to read the book for the course I was doing and found out it has some pretty interesting angles of incidence. Nature, for example, is such an important part of the story that it might be considered one of the main characters.
One of the other characters is Little May. She is a really opinionated and wayward little girl who does and says what she thinks. A little bit like me and I think that's why she was my favourite part of the cartoon.
I just found this tattoo of her on a blog. I think it's great. The girl who has it is an ultimate swedish girl named 'My'. Very funny if you think of the fact that Little May is called Lilla My in swedish.

Instalations by Fred Eerdekens

Belgian artist Fred Eerdekens doesn't just write with a pen on some paper. He writes with light. Both light and shadow he uses to create some interesting installations.

Perfect getaway

Can I get a plane ticket to Sao Paolo? And please bring me to KÁA Restaurant designed by Arthur Casas. Arthur Casas is an architect of interiors and constructions, developing residential and commercial projects through very characteristic forms.
What a wonderful place.
