Inspiration

This video from Rick Mereki makes me wanna travel and learn.

Two videos

Two things which I just discovered and really like.

First the movie 'Hanna' about a girl who was born in a labaratory. She's not like any other girl she acts more like a warior. She lives with her dad in a forest in Finland till she makes the decicion to have a 'normal' life.
The music was great even as the visuals. Saoirse Ronan did a great job playing the maincharacter Hanna.

Second the music from a band called M83. I got their album as a surprise in my mailbox and I'm listening to it now. Just perfect. I could tell a lot about it but it's better if you just listen to it.

Official trailer of Hanna.

M83. - Midnight City

Lana del Rey (Video Games)

A few months ago I heard 'Video Games'. I liked the song right away, but totally forgot about it. A few weeks ago I heard it again and remembered the name of the singer: Lana del Rey. I started to look her up on internet. It's something I do with everything which is new or unknown to me. Lana del Rey, her real name is Lizzy Grant, is kind of a hot topic on several blogs. Not everybody is enthusiastic about her. People are asking themselves if she's real or fake (I can tell: Her lips are fake...). Or they're trying to let us know 'the truth behind her persona'. And so on. I don't care if this girl is real or fake, a hype, maybe too indie (what's wrong with that?), etc. Her songs are fucking great and she's on her way to succes. Stop whining, s'il vous plaît. I know singers and bands which are much much worse.

Swedish Rock Music // The Pusher

I have something for rockers who actually make pop music with just a rock edge. Like these four sexy Swedish guys, also known as The Pusher. Pontus Karlsson (drums), Jakke Erixson (vocals, bass), Karl-Ola Solem (guitar), and John Hårleman (keybord) (gotta love the names) started this band four years ago. I wonder why I didn't know them before...
Their first hitsingle in The Netherlands has a great title: Blinded By The Dark. Oh, and it also sounds vurrry nice.

Get People - Rain Tears

A wonderful song by Get People. Just listen and enjoy.

Speech(less)

Maybe this is a little bit strange because usually I don't use my blog to share these kind of things. Since I do share everything I like and everything which inspires me, I really need to share this. Last week 'Het Gala van de Nederlandse Film' (something like prom of Dutch movies) took place in Utrecht. They showed (obviously) Dutch movies and handed out prizes, called 'De Gouden kalveren' (Golden Calfs) for movies, actors and actresses. Nasrdin Dchar received one for his role in Rabat. A Dutch movie about three young guys going on a roadtrip to Marrocco. Well-earned.
This part was an introduction on this video which I definitely don't want to forget, because how amazing and lovely is this speech of Nasrdin Dchar. I'm speechless with tears in my eyes.

Unfortunately it's in Dutch, but I'm sure you'll like it eventhough you don't speak Dutch. Everyone speaks the language of emotions.

Splitscreen: A Love Story

I really love this love story found on vimeo.

Directed by: JW Griffiths

Architecture In Helsinki - Contact High

Finally another song with a video. I kind of missed the cool videos. This one is definitely interesting. But I have to say I was confused when seeing the shot of the odd looking guy and the shell at 3:07. What's that about???

Carles Rodrigo & Lykke Li

These pretty pictures of the Swedish Lykke Li, one of my favourite singers, are made by Carles Rodrigo, one of my favourite photographers. Another perfect combination.

Kakkmaddafakka

After last night, I'm a fan.
